Domain (web address) registration
Each business needs at least one domain (web address) of it’s own – www.businessname.co.uk at the very least. For companies that have, or expect, a high profile it might be worth having the .com, .eu, .net etc variants too. More than one address can point to the same web site so www.businessname.co.uk and www.businessname.com can both point to your company web site. Selecting relevant and popular terms is a good way of making a web site address easy to remember.

Instead of using peter995@virgin.net or peter100045@yahoo.com, why not use peter@randall.com or boss@peterandjane.co.uk? This way your address is personalised and you don’t need to change it when you get fed up with the e-mail/broadband service from AOL/BT/Yahoo/etc and decide to change?
