St Mellion Clubhouse
St Mellion International Hotel, Golf & Country Club is probably the premier golfing venue in Cornwall. With two excellent and challenging courses, a superb health & fitness suite and quality accommodation, it's a great place for a short break or holiday.

The new Business Development Manager, Regan Bailey, is very active within the local business community. Already she's organised the recent Business needs & Support Exhibition and it'll be even bigger next year.

A £100 million plan has been approved by the Caradon District Council. The redevelopment will include 265 new luxury golf homes and a brand new 80-bed hotel to replace the existing one.

The £100 million spent by the St Mellion owners is likely to attract top golf events such as the English Open for years to come.

For more information on the facilities and various membership packages available at St Mellion, call them on 01579-351351 or visit their web site at www.st-mellion.co.uk

St Mellion business exhibition

Clarihon at the St Mellion Business ExhibitionThere was a very successful business exhibition held at St Mellion Hotel, Golf & Country Club recently. Nearly 90 companies exhibited, including us.

Apart from getting some good leads it gave us chance to meet potential business partners - people who specialised in other areas of Internet promotion and marketing.

The show will be held over two days next year so if you're interested, contact Regan Bailey at St Mellion. For details of this year's show see www.stmellionbusinessshow.co.uk
Spam - a couple of tips

Spam is a growing problem. With thanks to the FSB for a recent magazine article, here are a couple of tips:

Don't open what you believe to be a SPAM e-mail. Either delete it immediately or, if you're unsure about it, in the list of e-mails right click on it and select Options or Properties from the drop-down menu (in Outlook anyway). You might be able to determine a recognisable sender's address in the header. If not, delete it.

If you can, create an e-mail address that you use soley for on-line transactions and sign-ups to sites and clubs etc. If you start getting SPAM through this address you can simply delete it and create a new one. If you don't have this capability, consider investing in a personal e-mail address (and web/domain address). They are available at very little cost (and we do them too.....)
Is your web address memorable?

Sometimes you only get a glimpse of a name or phone number that you want to remember or record. For a potential client that could mean the difference between them contacting you and not. If they can't remember your contact details they can't get hold of you.

For TV, radio and mobile advertising (on buses, vans etc) it's been shown that a memorable web address works better than a phone number or an ordinary web address. Which would you be more likely to remember - trecastleandson.co.uk or cornishbuilders.co.uk?

It can cost as little as £10 a year (from us) for a memorable .co.uk web address that can point to your web site in addition to your original web address.
If you've found this newsletter useful, enjoyable even, think how your customers might appreciate one from you. Clarihon can help with any or all of the design, writing and distribution for you.

Contact us now to start turning contacts into prospects, prospects into customers and good customers into great ones.

Sincerely,

Nigel Day
